CoD4 FPS Lost on some maps
Wondering why I get bad fps/graphic lag on some maps and others I play really smooth?
System specs x1300 Radeon (Omega Drivers) Pentium 4 Processor 2 Gigs of ram 600 wat power supply.. Just wondering why I get graphic lag on some maps but others I don't.. I look up in the sky and it's smooth on the map I get graphic lag on.. Any way to fix this? |

Re: CoD4 FPS Lost on some maps
Is it running on Optimal Settings ? or did you change it. Plus are the number of players the same on all maps ?

Re: CoD4 FPS Lost on some maps
Uhm what about your ping ? does it differ between maps ?
I had sort of a similar problem when playing on Australian Severs. It would run fine for a couple minutes and started lagging hard ! So if its like that, it is most likely a punkbuster error. Try Re-installing Punkbuster. But first check if your ping changes between maps. And what is your anlocationd whats the lovation of the server you are playing on ? If its happening on deserty maps ? It could be some settings like texture and etc. Whats your system specs ?

Re: CoD4 FPS Lost on some maps
Well i dont know the exactly what is wrong but i have a feeling that its some of the graphics components of your computer.
Im not an expert, but theres this thing called 'Shader Support' and for CoD you need Shader Support 3.0. Check what your version is. Seeing as the problem occurs on non deserty maps, where there are more shadows and etc. Only thing i can think of atm is updating your drivers ? Sorry about the lousy help.

Re: CoD4 FPS Lost on some maps
Are your drivers up to date ? If they aren't, install new drivers. Or if they are up to date, re-install your drivers. If that doesnt do it then re-install cod, but make sure to make a back up of your 'profile' folder so you dont lose your rankings. After re-install you can chuck them back in.
