Confused cs:s crashes the computer =|

well i was just modding some guns and skins for cs:s then i started playing online,everything was going fine when i went on a server but when i started actually playing the computer crashes and then restarts, one thing is that evry other game i play works, my computer ran it fine a few months ago but now im not sure,the skins and all work soo yea, any idea whats going on?

Hey. I have the exact same problem at the moment mate. I changed my RAM and PSU, and now my CS:S constantly crashes... and i know its not hardware related coz i run COD4 on max with no crash... just css is a lil bi**h

DUUUDE SOME1 help me out.
i JUST BAUGHT COUNTER STRIKE SOURCE FOR 20 BUCKS OFF STEAM.
AND IT DOSNT WORK.
EVERTIME I CLICK ON IT GOES BLACK AND IT GIVES ME THIS BOX THAT SAYS.
"THE INSTRUCTION AT 0X10523E2X0: REFERENCED MEMORY AT "0X0E44ALAO'. THE MEMORY COULD NOT BE READ.
plz someONE HELP ME OUT!

btw, i found that if u underclock the card, it uses less power and for sum reason... its working for me atm... maybe thats a problem?? in-adequate powerring of my PC parts?? i got like 6 fans (antec 900 case)

:D well, i played for 4hrs straight last night, and not one crash, and thats with SEVERE underclocking of my card, but it still runs faster than my mates 8800GT.

All of your specs are really high, make sure to update you drivers and also u can try going to your steam consol, right clicking on the game, click properties, click launch options, and in the box type -autoconfig close the box and start the game, if that doesnt work if you havnt already there are loads of help in support section at steampowered.com

yeah, i found my problem. was infact that my GPU wasnt being supplied with enough power while CSS was running. Seems to get enough in COD4 tho. so thats a little wierd
