Momentary Lag in CS Source

I have recently gotten a new computer and i installed steam/counter strike/day of defeat etc. on it and started playing.

Whenever i go into a game on counter strike i can get in no problem and i have somewhere around a 45 ping. i also have around 120 fps and there doesn't seem to be any connection problems. My problem is that although my ping is low every minute or so i get a momentary lag or glitch in the game. everything freezes for 3 seconds and no sound plays and then i move to where i would be if the game had not lagged.

I have tried changing the settings from the recommended(high on most everything) down but that doesn't change anything.

I also have about 4 computers plus my xbox running off my internet connection(some wireless and wired) so i have turned off all computers that im not using and i still get the momentary lag. Im hoping somebody can help me.
