Xbox Technical problems.[MOVED FROM WINDWOS]
Me and a friend have connected laptops via a linksys router. We also have two xbox 360s on the same router. We run on Charter High Speed internet.
Our problems are that whenever we download something on one of the laptops our xbox live connections become so slow that we cannot even connect to any game. The other laptop on the other hand still runs at 36.0 Mbps. We have consulted Charter with this problem and they told us it was the router. We have replaced the router 3 times. A technician even came by, inspected the situation, and told us that it was still the router. Has anyone else had this problem and can anyone help? |

Re: Xbox Technical problems.
Have you disabled the firewall inside your router? XBOX is the only system that will actually flood the router with information, causing drop offs and slow speeds.
Also, you should be running on a minimum of 10 megs, if not 16 for your set up. Charter also does Home Networking if you don't want to have to worry about this problem at all. |
