Warcraft III + New Comp Crashing
friend has a problem. everytime he tries to play warcraft III he discs and lags constantly. this didn't happen on his old comp. It doesn't happen on any other game, he just discs from the game and stays on battle.net. internet problem or computer?
new comp is Vista Home Edition, 8300GS, Intel Core 2 4400. Mobo is called 'Dell DXP061'. His VCard driver is apparently up to date. Don't think BIOS updating will help. I have no idea, but he says he has 'vista updates' Everest Log Computer: Operating System Microsoft Windows Vista Home Edition OS Service Pack - DirectX 4.09.00.0904 (DirectX 9.0c) Computer Name KAMAL-PC User Name Kamal Motherboard: CPU Type Unknown, 2000 MHz (8 x 250) Motherboard Name Dell Dell DXP061 Motherboard Chipset Unknown System Memory 2048 MB BIOS Type Phoenix (08/09/07) Display: Video Adapter NVIDIA GeForce 8300 GS Video Adapter NVIDIA GeForce 8300 GS Monitor Generic PnP Monitor [NoDB] (H9FP609041) Multimedia: Audio Adapter High Definition Audio Controller [NoDB] Storage: SCSI/RAID Controller Intel® 82801HR/HH/HO SATA RAID Controller SCSI/RAID Controller Microsoft iSCSI Initiator Disk Drive ST3160815AS (149 GB, IDE) Optical Drive TSSTcorp DVD-ROM TS-H353B SMART Hard Disks Status OK Partitions: C: (NTFS) 142305 MB (81308 MB free) D: (NTFS) 10239 MB (7082 MB free) Total Size 149.0 GB (86.3 GB free) Input: Keyboard HID Keyboard Device Mouse HID-compliant mouse Network: Network Adapter D-Link DWA-552 XtremeN Desktop Adapter (192.168.0.174) Network Adapter Intel® 82566DC Gigabit Platform LAN Connect Peripherals: Printer Microsoft XPS Document Writer USB1 Controller Intel® ICH8 Family USB Universal Host Controller - 2830 [NoDB] USB1 Controller Intel® ICH8 Family USB Universal Host Controller - 2831 [NoDB] USB1 Controller Intel® ICH8 Family USB Universal Host Controller - 2832 [NoDB] USB1 Controller Intel® ICH8 Family USB Universal Host Controller - 2834 [NoDB] USB1 Controller Intel® ICH8 Family USB Universal Host Controller - 2835 [NoDB] USB2 Controller Intel® ICH8 Family USB2 Enhanced Host Controller - 2836 [NoDB] USB2 Controller Intel® ICH8 Family USB2 Enhanced Host Controller - 283A [NoDB] USB Device USB Human Interface Device USB Device USB Human Interface Device halp plz? if you guys need, i could get a hijackthis/dxdiag log. don't think it's spyware related though. could be something with the router? |
