GTKRadiant
Ok, here is the deal. I am really good at modeling in GTKRadiant 1.5.0 but it has its limitations. I use GTK mainly for 3d modeling even though it is a mapper for games. I am wondering if there are any professional 3d modeling programs out there that have the same or close to the same type of model creation, like the click and drag on a grid in GTK to create and edit objects. I've used 3ds max and blender and they are completely different.
I have made Midgar city from Final Fantasy 7 in GTKRadiant but when I export it to .asc or an .obj it has very high triangle count and I needed a program that I could make it in better and have more control. |

Re: GTKRadiant
Hi Killerx20, welcome to TSF.
The only other program that I can think of that uses a similar style to GTKRadiant is UnreadEd (the editor for Unreal Engine games). They call it a CSG (Constructive Solid Geometry) editor, basically, you are creating solids and carving them to the shapes you want. Aside from UnrealED, you could try Maplet. Again, it's more of a mapping program than a modeling program but you might be able to work with it. |
