Question involving Splinter Cell 3 (could use one who is familiar with game modding)
Ok, I didn't know where on the web to ask this. If anyone knows a better site, please let me know.
1. Is it possible, by editing game files, to remove the swearing from this and other games? 2. Could someone do it for me? Or show me how...

Sorry, but I don't think so. The game itself doesn't appear to be modifiable at all (nothing comes up on ModDB).
What type of cursing is it? Audio or text? If it is audio, you could try finding the correct file within the game directory (it may be archived), extract it, use a program like audacity to edit out the naughty bits then replace it. That's a long shot though, there could be a ton of problems in the process. Last edited by Tiber Septim; 03-25-2009 at 11:37 PM. Reason: Merged DP |

Re: Question involving Splinter Cell 3 (could use one who is familiar with game moddi
From my past experience with splinter cell, the stuff I want to avoid would be what the enemies say. The rest of the dialogue came in both audio AND text, so there's nothing I can do about that.
Thanks for checking it out, anyway. I can't try snything myself since I don't actually have the game yet. Let me know if you come up with anything else. |
