Queensland R18+ Classification

If you are a resident of Queensland, Australia and wish to have an R18+ classification for computer games, sign this petition.

Unlike other online petitions this one may actually do something.

Quote:

" ...request the House that [the Classification of Computer Games and Images Act 1995] be amended to permit computer games to receive the R18+ classification when they have been refused classification under the Commonwealth Act."

So essentially, it doesn't matter if the OFLC ban games or Atkinson opposes the R18+ rating. In this case an amendment to state law would override federal law (this will also affect the other states as they could quite legally purchase a game from a QLD retailer and have it sent to their home state. The OFLC can only stop the games from being sold in the other states).

Just pretend you're located in Queensland! Oh wait, you can't do that, they'd look at your connection speed and realise right away that you're not from Australia.
