Christmas

I am just going to ask for a couple games for Christmas off Steam (or 360 games)

Right now I am going to ask for the complete packages of:
Civilization IV
Crysis

I played on Crysis at a friend's house up until you come in contact with the aliens and I loved it! I would imagine once there are aliens it's even more fun and multiplayer would be fun too.

I bought Civ IV a long time ago for $50 so all I have is the original game. I want the complete pack because not only do I get to play it on Steam, if I bought all the expansions separately, it would be like $70 (vs $40 I think for the complete pack)

So, what do you think about those 2 and do you have any other recommendations? I have all the Call of Duty's (and MW2 pre-ordered, so freaking excited), L4D, the Orange Box, R6V2, Halo 3 (idk about ODST), and a bunch of older games on the xbox. On the computer I have WoW, TF2, WC3, and that's all. I want more PC games because I have enough Xbox as is (still working on perfecting gamerscore for them.) As you can see I like shooters and RTS'

Sorry that was a lot of stuff.
I was looking at these games for PC, too (Crysis and Civ IV and definitely's)
Borderlands
World in Conflict
L4D2
Fallout 3
I am open to suggestions but I am mainly looking for 1 or maybe 2 games in addition to those 2

Thanks for your time,
Simmons

Re: Christmas

Fallout 3 is in my top 10 games of all time.....It is extremely fun. It is a mix of the elder scroll games and a typical shooter game. I would defiantly suggest fallout 3, but beware it very addicting. In addition, idk about ODST....Don't get me wrong i love halo 3. But all your getting for $60 in odst is a short campaign, firefight, and a few extra multi player maps. So i did not think it was worth my $60. I heard borderlands was good, but i was wondering myself if i should pick up that game.

Re: Christmas

I suggest changing Crysis to Crysis: Maximum Edition, it's $39.99 for Crysis, Crysis: Warhead, and Crysis Wars.

Re: Christmas

Fallout 3 is an excellent game. I got it around this time last year and didn't stop playing until June. Then in August I downloaded a bunch of mods and started playing again. Excellent game.

L4D2 looks like it's going to be really good, so keep that on your list.

Civ 4 is an excellent game if you're into strategy or conquering the world.

I haven't played CoD:WaW, but it looks pretty good.

Borderlands looks pretty good as well but it's apparently kind of boring in single player, it only real shines when you have 4 person co-op going on.

A cheap-o "Steam stocking stuffer something stakeout star" [/alliteration] would be Torchlight. If you've played the Diablo games and liked them, then you'll like Torchlight.

Re: Christmas

I have WaW and am getting MW2 on Tuesday, its release. Fallout 3 looks pretty cool, but I'm not much of an RPG guy so I don't know if I would like it. I have the Orange Box and haven't played more than 5 minutes of HL2 and I rented Oblivion but never played it much. I have Civ IV without expansions and don't play it that much, so I might not ask for that.

Re: Christmas

Half Life 2 isn't an RPG, it's a straight up shooter with a couple of puzzles which are actually quite easy to solve but make you feel like you've just cured cancer or something, excellent "boss" fights, an adequate story told extremely well, and what happen to be some of the best characters in any game I've played so far. By the end of Half Life 2: Episode 2 I guarantee you'll thoroughly love every single one of the characters (in a platonic sort of way) except for that Dr. Magnusson *******. 'Cause he's an *******.

Soooooo go play Half Life 2. Now. Because you're missing out on what I consider to be one of the decade's top five first person shooters.
