Re: borderlands question

It sold roughly 393,188 copies during the first week. http://www.vgarabia.com/2009/10/31/b...is-struggling/.

I don't know about the PC version, but yes, it is completely worth it. I have it for Xbox and have loved every minute of it. It's a great marriage of FPS and RPG. A somewhat close comparison can be made with Fallout 3, except Borderlands is much more action orientated. I'm pretty sure I'm just about finished with the story after about 30 hours of playtime, but it allows you to start the game over with all inventory items, skill level and everything else intact, not to mention there are 3 other characters to chose from. Some may say that it could get repetitive, which it can, but the game mechanics are so well built that I haven't gotten bored with it at all.

Re: borderlands question

I think it's kind of overhyped, there is a lack of variety of enemies to kill. You mostly kill skags and bandits for awhile. It's still a fun game; it's at least a rent, if it's there actually a rent in PC games.

Re: borderlands question

Apparently it really shines in multiplayer.

If you want a solid single-player game that's story driven with lots of exploration and black humor, go with Fallout 3.

If you want a good co-op game with a passable single player that's mainly loot driven with a lot of silly humor, go for Borderlands.

Re: borderlands question

Borderlands doesn't have a strory, it's like Left 4 Dead but with RPG elements (eperiments points, and all the RPG stuff) so the game is very dull in single player, but for a multiplayer it's a must have

Re: borderlands question

I like the Co-op in it.

If you play by yourself it gets boring, but if you have a friend it gets so much fun.
