Shattered Horizon
![]() An interesting looking game, Although the trailer isn't that impressive. But for $17.00 USD your really not wasting money. Its a very unique first-person shooter, there have been a few similar games where you could manipulate the gravity but none that ive come across where you have no gravity so i guess attacking players from different angles could seem to have promising gameplay. Another interesting thing about this game is the fact it does not support Windows XP it also does not support DirectX 9. This could really be a make or break situation as there are plenty of gamers still using XP (mainly because of the Vista flop) and Direct X 9 hardware. So Futuremark Games Studio are really taking a huge gamble.. About the Game Shattered Horizon is the highly anticipated first game from Futuremark Games Studio that immerses you in the cold reality of combat in space like no other game before. This multiplayer first-person shooter is played entirely in zero gravity. A catastrophic explosion on the Moon has filled near-Earth space with billions of tons of rocky debris. You and your friends will join intense 32 player battles to control hollowed-out asteroids, huge fragments of Moon rock and the ruined remains of the International Space Station. With simple and intuitive controls, you have complete freedom of movement in the distinctive zero gravity environments. Not only can you use your rocket pack to fly anywhere but you can also land on any surface to attack your enemies from unexpected angles. Shattered Horizon challenges you to take your FPS skills to the next level adapting what you have learned on the battlefield to create new tactics in a fully three dimensional battle space. With your rifle at the ready you can handle anything the enemy can throw at you. But if you let go of your gun, chances are you’re already dead.

Re: Shattered Horizon
Wow this game looks to be extremely graphically intense. By far exceding the graphics of Crysis and games of such like.
Also sounds like a good storyline too. Shame i dont have the hardware/software (I have win xp) to be getting it.

Re: Shattered Horizon
Not usin xp or directx 9.0??!?!?! That's kinda harsh...what if people don't want to pay that much(new hardware)? I wish computer games could run on a low end hardware on low settings and really high on high end that way everybody is happy. I know there is low and high, but I mean way beyond that.

Re: Shattered Horizon
May look pretty but I bet it'll run poorly. I wouldn't trust Futuremark with making a game.

Re: Shattered Horizon
Another game about Space Marines? Just what we need... The graphics look nice but graphics aren't really what I look for in a game, at least not any more. Looks ok I guess.

Re: Shattered Horizon
I remember the days that i had dialup, when the phone didn't work if i was on the internet and it took about 5 mins to load an webpage.:(
But i think Lord Sirian is right about the graphics thing. I don't look for graphics in games anymore either, the gameplay is the most important thing.
