Nvidia 3D

Anyone tried this out yet?
I have everything but the glasses wanted to know what the general
opinion was of people that have tried it out.

Re: Nvidia 3D

I tried them in the Computer store near me and found them quite bad. To me nothing looked very "3D", it just made the screen look weird...
But everyone is entitled to their own opinion here :)

I can't see 3D so to me it's a wasteful gimmick.

Re: Nvidia 3D

Apparently it's only really "3D" for about one in three people, you have to have near-perfect eyesight and really good depth perception. It's also supposed to work better with women, because they tend to have more depth perception than men. You also have to tweak and fine tune settings for each game.

I would suggest trying it out first to make sure it works for you. Even then, for the cost and minimal benefits I'd say it's only for the most hardcore gamers (read: professional, not "h4rdc0res lol" idiots).

Legally I am. The lens was damaged somehow back when I was 8. At the time there was no surgery that would give me my sight back. Now there is but I'm broke.

Re: Nvidia 3D

They had similar 3d technology in the 1950's that worked with everybody I believe. The red and blue glasses.

Re: Nvidia 3D

I have not tried it out myself. But heard from friends who tried it, that there remains no other choice for those who once tried it.........such is the high quality of it.
