It's been out since July on the XBox360 and PS3. Will be coming out for the PC early next year.

The controls for Battlefield 1943 planes are terrible on the console. There are not dual joystick so you can fly accurately. Its junk flying, ughh.

If the controls can be remapped a little better for the PC it might be worth getting.

I like battlefield 1942 to, but I heard 1943 has destroyable buildings.
I also realy hope that they come out with an editor for it, so you can make your own levels.

I believe 1943 uses frostbite 3.0? I know it's frostbite but not sure about the number. Just to add, I believe 1943 was being sold 15 bucks for the consoles. It is kind of a small game though, 3 classes and I believe 4 maps? 15 bucks though, I can't turn that away...wish it was retail though.

Yes the buildings are as destructible as the ones in Bad Company 1. But the ground isn't nearly as much.

wow 14.99. I might have to think about that, need my desktop first. Xbox users says it has not many maps. But hey for 15 bucks maybe it's worth it.
