I ran across www.gog.com and they have a lot of classic games at a good price. DOS games have been modded to run on XP and Vista. No, I have nothing to do with the site. Thought some of you that like some DOS games, but can't get them to run on a more modern pc, might be interested.

I found out about GOG several months back, and my parents bought Descent and Descent 2 for only $5.99 including both of them! Definitely a great deal; you just can't really get full version games for $3 each in many other places.

Right now they have a two for one going on for the old Interplay games. Redneck Rampage, etc.

oh man! I still have Descent 1 Shareware version somewhere lol!
it was a great game indeed, I think I also played Descent 3 Shareware version

If You want old dos games you can get tons free at XTC Abandonware or do a google search for abandonware.

I think everyone is aware of abandonware sites, but even with dosbox and other mods, a lot of the games won't run on XP or Vista. I'd rather pay a small fee and be sure they'll run instead of wasting time trying to get free games to run that may never run.
