Re: GameGuard - Good or Evil?

Oh my bad. The only server I know that has active admins 24/7 with those rules is tactical gamer. That is why I asked if it was tactical gamer.

Hmm I'll have to keep an eye out for that server then, do they do city only maps? I hate playing titan maps as the constant vehicles drive me nuts (no pun intended)

Re: GameGuard - Good or Evil?

An update on the original topic of this thread- I just pre-ordered today and downloaded the client for the upcoming beta test. And I am happy to say that (so far) GG has given me no issues at all. It opens when it is supposed to and shuts down when the NCsoft launcher is closed.

It does take a good 30-45 secs for the game to actually start though, I think this is due to GG "doing it's thing". So far I can only get as far as the login screen so I haven't seen it on the actual game but I will let you guys know if it starts acting up on me.

Re: GameGuard - Good or Evil?

You know, even games without ANY anti-hack programs still don't have much hackers.
Take SAMP (San Andreas Multiplayer) for example, I don't see many hackers and when I do they are either just speedhacking and having fun, not interfering with other people, or just doing stupid stuff like falling off of buildings.

LOL if only all of the malicious hackers would fall off buildings. :)

It's one round a map conquest only. No Titan, they have a titan only server but it's quite dead.

I like support but when you have to switch between weapons really fast the Ganz drives me nuts.

Re: GameGuard - Good or Evil?

I play Assault,Recon and of course I knife...that will soon be displayed on my profile. Favorite Weapon: BJ-2 Combat Knife.

By the way guys...I think we have hijacked this thread . If you would like to continue this conversion why don't we just make a thread about who plays bf2142? And we can discuss our tactics there?

Re: GameGuard - Good or Evil?

GG protect against hackers by frequently updating, it's not that difficult to bypass it, I did it myself. GG is still better than Ahn Lab and Punkbuster.
