What Game Should I Get?

SO......

I'm bored of the pc games i have at the moment and I am looking for a new game.

I am looking for an fps, Puzzle, Adventure or Rpg game that will last me a while;

I already have or have played: The Orange Box, Cod4, Spore, Battlefield Series, Battlefront 1+2, and I have Battlefield Heroes Beta, Far Cry 2 and Crysis

I would prefer something that isn't scarier than HL2/Ep1+2 eg. Bioshock,FEAR.

Thanks for reading,
Yoshi

P.S I have an old rig but it can play most of the newer games on lower settings. (7600GS, AMD Athlon 3000+ (single core)).

Re: What Game Should I Get?

I don't think i will get Fallout 3, i don't like over the top gore but Mount & Blade looks interesting i might try the trial and then decide.

Do any of you know a game i can play with my little brothers? They can't play anything worse than Star Wars Battlefront (eg. no realistic killing (COD4)/gore or language).

Thanks for the replies.

I think Halo isn't really worth it. That's just me, though. If you haven't played Halo before it is a fun game.

What about Age of Empires 3 or 2? Its a real time strategy game and it should run on your system.

Re: What Game Should I Get?

I have all the age of empire except for the AOE3 expansions since i really didn't like AOE3 with the train/cart and the cards.

I found some free games to play with my little bros and I will have a look into Mount&Blade and play Battlefield 2 for now.

Thanks for the help.

Re: What Game Should I Get?

There's also Knights of the Old Republic if you're a Star Wars fan. But then again, if you're a Star Wars fan you've probably played both.

Have you tried Battlefield Heroes? It's in public beta right now. Kid-friendly, requires very little resources, good time-killer for a while. Free too (even after it goes gold).

Re: What Game Should I Get?

Thanks for the replies, I was in the closed beta of Battlefield Heroes and I haven't played KOTOR i never got around to buying it after finishing Jedi Outcast. I'll see if I can get Mount&Blade and the Delta Forces once I get some money.

I just installed the BF2 Collection and its fun to play single player even thought capturing the last spawn is nearly impossible with the insanely high npc spawn rate. The multiplayer is bad though, no Aussie servers left.

Thanks again

Re: What Game Should I Get?

You could try out the Broken Sword games, I loved the first two. It goes by the older "point and click" adventure style but it had me hooked back when they were first released.

The first three games I think are now sold together and made compatible for Vista (The first two were originally for Windows95/98).

Re: What Game Should I Get?

If you are looking for some replay value in Battlefield 2 then you should check out some of the many mods for it:

AIX (Allied Intent Xtended) - This is a mod that focuses on the coop side (you said you wanted your brothers to play also) of Battlefield 2 .My bro and I play that all the time.

Forgotten Hope 2 - Turns the Battlefield 2 engine into a World War 2 era. Very well done.

US Intervention - Focuses on the Gulf War of 1991. Also well done.

All these (along with countless new maps) can be downloaded here.

I think the Luxor series may be considered adventure or puzzle, along with the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World .

Re: What Game Should I Get?

I just installed project reality. Sadly it suffers from what most mods I play on do..... No people playing on the Australian servers. I get kicked every 2 minutes since my ping is too high in the American Servers.

Re: What Game Should I Get?

I'd definitley try both The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind for the RPG's.

They're both great games.
