the 8400 GS keeps you with limited games, all the games that I'll list will work for you but on low settings and some on medium settings
Racing Games:
- Test Drive unlimited, the game is great, with open roads and luxury cars from all manufacturers like Mercedes, Audi, Ferrari, Lamborghini, etc... it got a little bit customization (just the Cars engine and not the body)
also
- GRID is awesome
- Burnout Paradise does not have branded cars but it's still great to smash other cars with the best damage engine available

Shooters:
- Crysis, What can I say, mmm, Awesome
- Bioshock, a bit FPS and a bit RPG
- Killing Floor, a new Unreal Tournement 2004 mod http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/ki...or/review.html

RTS:
Age of Empires 3

Stealth games:

a bit old game (2005) but stealth and fun (both games have a WWII atmosphere)

RPG:
- Fallout 3: you don't wanna miss that! (no magic, Guns and lots of them)
- the Witcher: great game and lots of magic
- Elder Scrolls Oblivion: one of the best RPGs (magic too)

I don't think Crysis will run pleasantly on the 8400gs (I have played on it, even low settings isn't fun. Call of Duty 4 might work.

I would not go with Velvet Assassin. I played it at my friends house and its just a lame game. Its quality is like that of a game made in 2002.

Would like to ask which is reliable YouGamers or SystemLabRequirements?

I tested Assassins Creed on both website...

SystemLabRequirements says I can run Assassins Creed on Max settings while YouGamers says Im below minimum requirements.

I dont want to buy something that wont work with the M1330...(Im not planning to fix my desk any time soon xD)


Im also open to more games compatible with the Dell XPS M1330 :D

Yougamers is the site I would trust. It looks at your actual specs while Can you run it just looks at your shader model # and thats about it.

Grid is an awesome game which should run on low settings on your computer.

I have played Sniper Elite and The sniping is pretty realistic even compared to games now a days.

Oblivion is game you should definitely pick up.

Can I run Dark Messiah of Might and Magic? If yes, compared to Oblivion which game has more magic spells and content? Which is more fun to play without mods? Which has cool magic effect?

My friend also has a XPS M1330 and he can play Assassin's Creed but YouGamers says the M1330 is way below minimum requirements...Im confused O.O

I think yougamers recognizes an overclocked video card but system requirement labs will most definitely not.

You won't get much more performance out of a overclocked 8600 GT though.

Actually my desktop is broken (damn PSU) so Im using my second-hand Dell XPS M1330 which has a 8400M GS

You could play Mount and Blade. YOu don't need a high end computer to run the game. Once you start modding it and increasing the battles from the max 72 to 400 you need a high end computer.
