Final Fantasy XIV on the PC!!

Final Fantasy XIV was confirmed for the PC, I hope that the game is worth the waiting :P

So us PC gamers just had to wait around 9 years for it to come out for the PC. I tried to play the game but I can't get into the slow pace RPG's anymore. I prefer games like Mass Effect or Alpha Protocol when it comes out.

RPG's aren't slow, at all, just the games take a while to complete and you have no patients. Also, it's not going to take 9 years for it to come out on PC, most likely 1 year after FFXIII's 4 centuries of development.

I have patience, I've played FF7 too many times and I don't want to play old school games most of the time although sometimes the urge does come over me to play it again for what the 16th time (beat it in its entirety - well you know most of it)

I like the look for the gameplay in FF13 but I'm not going t get PS3 or really care about playing it too much.

I just found out last night watching Gametrailers TV and they said something about Final Fantasy 14! Uh, Square Enix said that 13 would be the LAST Final Fantasy game ever! so are they counting Dissidia as 13?

I highly doubt Final Fantasy 13 is last one. I also saw FF14 but its an MMO so I could care less.

FF 11 is old now, its time for a new MMO anyways.

I think FF 11 was made in 2003 ffor the PC. I would assume that they don't want to support it like WoW so its time for a new game.

FF XI was made in 2004 for the consoles, in 2005 for the PC.

Its still a 5 year old game. FF14 will coming out next year (2010) I would say it is about time they made a new game.

If you do start playing a Final Fantasy game be prepared for a couple things

- You'll spend large periods of time playing the game
- becoming almost addicted to the game.
- wanting to play the rest of Final Fantasy games

The best Final Fantasy game I have ever played is Final Fantasy Tactics for The PS1.

Ah, Ninja, I had a chat with him on Xfire and I don't see him playing FF anytime soon.
Even so, when I first played Final Fantasy, I was just confused, I liked the game but I could never do almost anything without help from someone or something, thus I just did not play much.

Yea i was definitely confused when I started playing FF8 whatever it was 8 to 11 years ago.

You should try Final Fantasy Tactics for the PS1, by far the best Final Fantasy out there IMHO. I prefer a more strategy based game and this one is a all battle and no fooling around, wandering the map.

I tried Tactics Advanced, I did enjoy it so if I find a copy of Tactics I may just get it and dust my PS1 off. On the other hand, I strongly, [i]strongly[/] disagree, I think that FF8 was the best in the series, but seeing as strategy is your thing, I can see where your coming from.

Yea well, at least we have one thing in common. Most of the Final Fantasy games were awesome. I did like FF8 it was so different form FF7. I did buy FF9 too but I never really got into it for some reason. I think my PS1 was missing a couple screw and if it was nudged it would restart the game. I do have a PS2 so I can play my old games, but I just can't really be bothered to play them over again.
