this year I'm waiting for the release of some amazing games :
Bioshock 2
Resident Evil 5
Street Fighter 4
Guitar Hero World Tour
Bionic Commando
Need For Speed Shift
Max Payne 3

this going to be my best game year!!!! LOL!!!

...DJ hero mmm sounds fair on that one am an ex dj so i will give that a try but how can you run a simple color matching game and make millions it is bloody retarded. but i just hate games where you play three times and thing you can do the real thing. it makes me sad at how no good games are being relased...well a few are but not sure on it

i fear that companies worry to much about graphics....and sacrifice time in making the gameplay much better...

The only two games I'm looking forward to this year are Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3.
Diablo 3 probably won't even be released this year so it's really just Starcraft 2, and even that's not a given.

I'll probably pick up some other games but there's nothing I'm really 'looking forward' to.

NO - it's not going to be a good year for gaming.

I only see ONE game on that list that even seems like a half-way decent game; but NOT one I'm willing to pay $40 dollars for.

The only good games that will come out this year will be the ones out of my closet; like my SNES and PS1.

I really hope D3 is released this year but going by Blizzards 'when it's done' attitude it probably won't be for another year or two yet.
They haven't even started beta for SC2 yet...

Just thought of another one to add to my list. Again, probably won't be released this year, but I would like to see HL2: EP3.

Yes IMHO the systems are getting better, but I like my PC more than consoles as its better that consoles graphic wise and all round usability.

IMHO the one thing I really don't like about the older systems is the controllers.
I think (from top to bottom) that these controller are good

Xbox 360
Xbox
PS3 (PS2 and so on)

controllers I don't really like (worst at the bottom)
Gamecube
Wii
N64
SNES
NES

Games have improved so much but I can only play a lame (IMHO) just story driven and not very good gameplay wise game for so long before I'll quickly get bored and I much prefer realism or a better gameplay engine.

Yeah, but if it wasn't for NES controllers and SNES controllers, you're PS3 wouldn't even exist.

Those controllers were classic and very very basic.. I don't know of anyone that doesn't like "basic" things unless he's a complicated man (bad joke..).

I'm good with yes they did the start the modern controller but they do suck compared to ones made now. We don't need to praise them at all just put them in a museum where they belong

The new controllers aren't complicated.
They're better designed
don't give you hand cramps
the buttons are placed in better areas
