LOL - I guess I can't related to your opinion because I was raised on SNES and NES so I love old school things, I was spoiled with Donkey Kong Country and Super Mario Bros 3.

Whether you like it or not - the SNES did have the greatest games ever made. Newer consoles may be user friendly and faster, prettier, and have better game graphics but graphics don't make a game, not at all. Ever heard of Doom or Final Fantasy VII, how about any other PS1 game or GBA game?

I still haven't found ONE good game except SSBB on either of the three new systems (360, Wii, PS3) that I would want to stay up all night playing!

iwas raised on NES too and you weren't even born When I started playing games so Yes I know all the old systems and I've played all the good ones past NES

I'm guessing that you're a fan of 2D modelling and sprites. I can see this as I've seen a couple sites that are very well done to make newer game avatars into sprites.

Its a feeling you have about classic games which I do not share as I have more than played my share and I love realism to a degree of course

I have played GTA4 and it was nothing like the first one for PS2 (3 I think), which is not a good thing.

Oblivion was just too.. poorly made, didn't see any effort put into it at all.

I don't what to say obviously I can't change your mind and IMHO I won't care about your opinion on games anymore. I don't want to anything else really because our tastes in games are really far apart.

I just don't want to continue posting with you on this thread, its making me annoyed (IMHO) in your poor taste in games. I do like the old games too but the newer ones have much more merit and I don't care about what came first.

Do you know how many missions and dungeons and areas you can visit and the amount of time it takes to do all them with the excellent lore and backstory, graphics Game engine (still looks pretty after 4 years)

The only reason why FF7 takes so long to play is because you have to fight the same old monsters a hundred times. It was good back then and its weak now

Final Fantasy VII is an RPG. You have to fight hundreds of monsters over and over again. It was a classic, man; it's not weak.

Next your going to tell me Chrono Trigger is weak? Oh wait, I got a good one! Super Mario RPG? Zelda? I just hated Zelda's awesome gameplay and awesome music.. forget Super Mario RPG and it's memorable characters and awesome gameplay.. and Chrono Trigger.. omg.. don't get even me started on how bad that was, LOL.

I've played FF7 too much and I may be weak enough to cheat through the game but spending that much time leveling is too much for me I just want to fight ruby and run around in chocobos

Back on topic - just over two weeks until Demigod is released for Australia (we are so behind). Yet another game I plan on getting in the next few months.
Hopefully by then they will have fixed the connectivity issues.

On just the writing side of the game there is an immense back story, quests, books, and characters with their own individual schedules, where no people two people are alike in that game.

I'm glad that these games are the perfect evolution this year, especially Street Fighter 4 and Resident Evil 5, which I was expecting to come this year, and I'm thrilled to own one of those games.
