how do people on ebay sell...

how do people find games cheaper than in the store?...for example when l4d came out it was 50 bucks but i saw on ebay newest lowest was like 35 dollars..How can they afford to sell so cheap, not saying you'll go broke for selling it for less but its no profit(loose some $$$). I mean HOW do they get it cheaper, do they like steal or something? or they just feel nice and sell it very cheap. One thing i thought about was maybe they won it and wanna sell it but any other ideas to how they obtained it?
also have you ever seen this in the store? i really wanna know how this guy got it.

I don't know how they sell it that cheap and you can't trust everything on Ebay. They could have shrink wrap machine, dunno though

I just bought Battlefield 2 with all expansions (new copy) at my local games store for $20, seems suspicious to me.

Probably not a legit copy. Either that, or people buy it full price when it comes out, make a copy for themselves and sell off the other to make some of the money back.
So if they buy a $50 game, copy it and sell the other copy for $35, they've just bought a game for $15.

I'm with Ninja though, I don't trust anything from Ebay. I've seen some horror stories, as I'm sure almost everyone else has.

Games in Australia are 30% overpriced anyway. In the UK i can pickup a PC game for much less. I remember when i purchased Doom 3 in the UK it cost me 40 Pounds ($60 back them). The game here is still over $50 in some places when it was released it would of cost about $100.

Some companies on Ebay only have a warehouse to maintain, where as a physical shop you have bills and employees to pay. Hence the slightly lower cost.

Also all my PC parts that are in the System tab was brought from Ebay. But you just need to make sure that they are legit by ensuring you get an invoice before you purchase (Ask the seller) or you can personally contact the seller and the seller offers insurance on the product.

I think ive spent over $20,000 on Ebay so far.

I got css off ebay and I have no problems....got a bit cheaper...5 dollars but he had a good rep so I trusted him. yeah I never saw that case b4 and it does seem fishy and he has no real rep. He just started.
Im trying to find something chepear then target and Ea store the complete bf2 pack is 30 bucks....I wouldnt pend that much on bf2 -_-...came out in what 03? I want it but not that much id pay it for as if it were new.

In addition to everything already mentioned, I will throw in wholesalers. There's companies that sell stuff in bulk to buyers for really cheap prices. Lots of these sellers are located in china. Check out alibaba.com

I do believe they're illegal since they're owned by doctors and doctors only meaning you'll probably need a degree of some sort. I'm totally guessing though, but I think I'm right.

I doubt they would make things illegal to sell just because you need a degree to operate it. That's why they sell things like Bulldozers, Front End Loaders, Forklifts and other heavy machinery to the general public.
