Anyone here play battlefield 2142 :(?

I've always wanted to get that game. I liked battlefield 2, and 2142 looks awesome. Perhaps I will order it soon. Is there still a decent online community?

its decent, but no1 really works together, im guessing that is on bf2? only 1 server i know of that works together i wished they had more...but its still pretty popular not as popular as bf2. id say its worth the 20 bucks.
community if you refer to matureity..is pretty mature..most server say no whinning and if you whine and swear you get kicked/banned.

I play 2142, but I got the Special Edition and, like thousands of others, I got foobared online service, I can only get on like 3 servers.

I love the game though, it's fun, the servers I play on everyone works togeather, great teamwork and maturity.

And it even has offline play with bots, that's always handy.

Ive got the game but allas i no longer know my EA Downloader details. Nor do i have the time the download the game atm. It was a good game but it wasn't all that interesting in my opinion.
We will see how BF3 goes.

I did not know you could D2D the game.

EA has not said anything about Battlefield 3, and I'm starting to think it will never be made, but I really want the latest few games as they look fantastic.

1943 has unlimited ammo I believe...doesnt rock my boat, and I heard bad stuff about battlefield bad company, I hope they both have demos on pc like there ancestors so I can try b4 I buy.

Bad Company 1 is PS3 exclusive but Bad Company 2 is on the PC as well.

I don't know anything bad about the game. Probably better than Crysis graphics, perfect physics system and fun as heck gameplay as well as great interactivity.

Not to mention BC2 will have multiplayer and singleplayer (a whole campaign!)

Personally I think 2142 is better than BF2 but they are both very excellent games.

One word of advice: MAKE SURE YOU CAN RUN IT!
The game absolutely sucks if you just barely meet the minimum requirements and lag like madness, not to meniton looks bad.

my desktop computer which is older than time runs bf2142 at lowest settings and doesnt lag...I kinda like it low settings xD. i remeber when i was on my laptop and had it at all high.

That is weird, if you can run BF2142 on high with a laptop, why move to a crappier desktop?

graphics dont make the game, id rather have better gameplay than graphics. anyways I moved to the desktop cause my brothers needs the laptop for college...once the house is finish(were remodeling) ima build a new computer.

lol my mom and i jst finished remodeling. Yeah graphics dont make the game but therer is no point on playing a game that looks great when you have the ability (Case and point: I can play HL2 at max, but it's laggy, why? because I spent $120 so I CAN play it on max)

But look at games like Counter Strike and Wolfenstien: Enemy Territory and AVP2, they are some of the best FPS games around but they have super outdated graphics.

best is an opinion. -_- but I agree on counter strike. Personally graphics are a waste. cod4 was very high end...but I found it quite boring. bf2142 I like way more than cod4 but has less graphics. What I'm saying is that I just don't want producers spending to much time on graphics and sacrifice gameplay. and how can u play laggy on high graphics...id rather be a medium..i played on medium with fallout 3 cause i lagged on any higher settings. and what do you mean there is no point on playing a game if its not high settings?There are people in the world who cannot afford high end computers and need to play on low...not saying I'm one of them...not making fun of them or anything, But when I buy a game i look at how its played not worrying at what setting it will be on, I turned off all hdr on valve games cause it got annoying.

I did not say there is no point, I said IF YOU HAVE THE ABILITY as in, if your card is good enough, there is no point, as I said, again, I play HL2 Laggy, but only slightly, on high graphics because I dished out my own money for a good card.

And no 'best' is not an opinion, AVP2 was so much fun in every possible aspect, Wolfenstien:ET is balanced, and easy. Both games received higher scores than CoD4, CS, CSS, BF, BF2142, BF1942 in multiple places.

How did you find CoD boring?? it's awesome action and non stop hart pounding threat all around you is exhilarating, or was it the stealth missions? I can understand you being an adrenaline junkie.

I can't afford a good computer, my PC was made from spare parts.

I also don't look at the graphics, but hey, leading edge graphics are just awesome to look at
