FALL OUT 3... How it is?

I was looking some videos at YouTube to see how FALL OUT 3 looks like... but am i wrong or it is anf FPS now? I really liked Fall Out 2 game stile ... why they changed it? Is this game any good or is just an FPS as Crysis?

I loved it, it's very much like Oblivion but with rifles instead of swords. My only issue with it is that the main story is painfully short.

Same i loved FO3, i know how beth is with its Main Stories now, so i dont play em.. all the side quests FTW. its an FPS but most FPS's dont have melee weps... :)
remember that Bethesda bought the rights to make 3, since the company who created 1 & 2 went out of business, so what was easy(rather than make a whole new engine), they took Oht's engine beefed it up some, to make Fallout 3 work. if you open up the original Fallout3(unpatched V1.0) for PC up in hex editor or maybe the geck, you can see the TES4 header.... lazy beth :P

great game, i would reccommend you get it. for whatever beast you play it on :D

Fallout 3 oozes with style and content. I think I've clocked well over 20 hours just exploring the world and doing "side quests" and I've only gone through half of it (and that doesn't even include touching the storyline). And this doesn't include the fact that you can essentially play through the game twice (hint: you can be "good" or "evil").

Be warned though that it does the post-apocalyptic scene so well you may actually feel a little depressed (I know people who actually refuse to continue playing the game early on because it does it so well).

For those who are fans of previous Fallout games, you will find tons of fandom easter eggs and even a few answers to some unanswered questions from the former games.

In a nutshell, you will love it.

I love any game by Bethesda

if you've played Morrowind or Oblivion (same company made those two games) you will know that they put a ton of quality into their games

Fallout 3 is like being chuck Norris, you can do just about anything

currently after playing through the game twice I am now cheating and running around with my mini nuke launcher and I have around 200 mini nukes

There's a ton of side quests although not even as much as Oblivion which has about 4 times the amount of side quests compared to the main quest

Yes, it is first person now, but it can still be played in a turn based fashion using VATS.
Bethesda make all their big RPG's first person, they say that it makes the game more immersive and personally I agree.

The gameplay is great, I still haven't tired of obliterating my enemies in VATS.
Enemies are varied, quests and locations are interesting and well laid out.
Graphics are good, nothing fancy but still above average.
Audio is brilliant. I can spend hours wandering the wastes listening to the radio.
The level scaling that was so rampant in Oblivion is virtually gone (thank god for that).
My only complaints would be the repair system requiring you to have two of the same item to repair one of them is rather annoying (but that can be modded), also the indoor map is a little blurry/confusing at times.

To sum up, you won't regret buying it (unless you're crazy).

it's one of those games where every 6 months or less you can play the game end to end with all the quest for a couple and it'll still be slightly different

it supports huge a community of mods and there are 3 DLC to get 1 last one to come out
DLC - Anchorage
DLC - The Pitt
DLC - forgot the name but it raises the level cap to lvl 30 unless thats the Pitt?

they didn't make the game like fallout 2 cause that style is old school now
FPS RPGs are really great!
if you liked Fallout 2 you really will like Fallout 3
lots of quests, lots of dialogues, when you play Fallout 3 you really think you reading an adventure story
don't miss that game!

Ok thank you guys ... im gona try this. Yea the best thing of Fall Out games is that you can basically do wht ever you want ... Thank you!! Just one mre question.. does the game still uses the point sistem where you can improve what ever you want? Like mini-guns, pistols .. and chose whch atrbt you gona improve? Thank you

yea you got it it right with the points

small arms point upgrades = more damage with pistols, submachine guns, assualt rifles, shotguns, railway spike rifle, dart gun

Big guns upgrades = more damage with mini guns, mini nukes, can't remeber rest

energy weapons = laser pistol, plasma pistol, plasma rifle, laser rifle, It think laser gatling gun

melee weapons = power fist, chainsaw, sledgehammer etc

and there's perks too

one of the fun ones is "Bloody Mess" where if you shoot someone they have a chance of blowing up into all the seperate pieces and you have to find an eyeball to loot out of for humans anyways

fallout 3 is awesome...i beat it twice thats how much i liked it...the storyline is very short...just do the sidequests first...i mean the mainquest after the end was very upsetting...i thought it would be longer....

Oh yeah mcninja i think gatling laser is in big guns, I remeber when it was loading it said energy affects, laser pistol/rifle plasma pistol/rifle and alien blaster then in big guns it said minigun missile launcher fat man and gatling laser.

Runs fine of 64bit Vista and 64bit Windows 7.
No multiplayer unfortunately.

Oh there was for me on vista 32 bit home premium. its vista so it may apply to you. if fallout 3 crashes on start run it as admin, windows service pack 2 and disable visual effects or whatever it is..and it may crash randomly....grr happened to me a lot. but all in all its sick. until you beat it -_-.

Oh, Fallout 3 is awesome, great graphics, great weapons and storyline. Lots and lots to explore but not much to actually do, compaired to Oblivion, this is horribly short and depreciated.
For instance, you can't join a faction unlike in Oblivion, except the Brotherhood of Steel for 1 quest. And there are not many other quests to do other than the main quest which you can't continue from the game at the end like in Oblivion. And the max level is 20.

Using the same engine as Oblivion was had been a good idea in terms of load times because it's a huge game, and interactivity and depth. But while the graphics are good, not good enough by today's (or 2008's) standards.

The game was way to eerily similar to STALKER or Half Life 2.
Now, I haven't played the other 3 Fallout games, but I'm sure a veteran of the series won't mind the change from top-down isometric view and turn based gameplay into full FPS. While you still get VATS, and the story is generally the same, that is, you are a vault dweller and leaves eventually thwarting or helping the evil minded character at the end, it can seem very different weather or not you played Fallout before or not.

One thing I must say: If you get it for PC, DOWNLOAD THE G.E.C.K.! It's the Garden of Eden Construction Kit and is basically a level creator! it's awesome.

Just one more question.. can you still use an Enclave Soldier's Suit? Oe something like that?

Yeah it's called Enclave Power Armour. They also have Shock Armour, not much of a difference though.

and it really affects on the game's course
I started a new game of Fallout 3 and I detonated the Bomb now I'll see what happens next

You can also be neutral, and there are many perks that come with being good, evil, or neutral.

lol karma is so easy to gain and so easy to loose...my first account i was good but slauthered millions and ahve very high karma, my second account i killed everyone blew megaton(:D) and got high karam from donating pure water :D.
