Cryostasis Tech Demo

Its pretty cool to be honest, but by the looks of it the game isn't really finished. I do hope they add some reflection to the water and transparency.

This download is not playable but a benchmark. Hitting some keys can cause the benchmark to stop short so be careful. Also the sound is disabled by default i dont know why, which you can able prior to the game loading.

Story:
Year 1968. Arctic Circle, Russian North Pole station "Pole 21". The main hero Alexander Nesterov is a meteorologist occasionally caught inside an old nuclear ice-breaker North Wind, frozen in the ice desert many years ago. This steel creature once fought for its life and freedom, but it has fallen into an ice trap and all the creatures on its board lost not only their natural look, but a right to die. Cryostasis is a story about a drama of a Captain and his Ship evolving in the atmosphere of animal fear.

Cryostasis Tech Demo (~922MB)

System Requirements:
CPU: Pentium 4 2 GHz
RAM: 1GB
GPU: Geforce 6600 256 MB / ATI Radeon 9800 or better
HDD Space: 13 GB (1.6GB for Tech Demo)
OS: XP/Vista

Recommended Requirements:
CPU: AMD x2 5600+ or Intel CoreDuo 6400
RAM: 2GB
GPU: AMD/ATI Radeon 2900 HD or nVidia 8880 GTS
HDD space: 13GB (1.6GB for Tech Demo)
OS: XP or Vista

Nvidia Enabled PhyX card (8 Series and above) recommended to play the game to its fullest potential.

Re: Cryostasis Tech Demo

The Tech demo says I need vista even though XP is supposedly compatible. I want to know if any Xp users got it to work.

Re: Cryostasis Tech Demo

Its possible at this time the tech demo was only released for Vista it doesn't state what OS is supported. The specs i posted was the official requirements for the retail version and not the demo.
