Bioshock is coming to the big Screen!!!

they're going to make a movie about that fantastic game, it'll be released next year :

"BioShock 2: Sea of Dreams is currently "destined" to arrive on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC, according to 2K. Tentatively set to hit one or all platforms later this year, the game is the middle part of a planned BioShock trilogy, which will be turned into a film next year by Pirates of the Caribbean director Gore Verbinski."

I've heard rumors of this a while ago but now hopefully the movie will go on as planned

Bioshock was an awesome and I hope they just improve it from there on

yep, yep
90% of movies based on games have failed, but Bioshock have a great reason to succeed, its awesome story and fantastic environment

hmmmm I hope doesn't turn out to be ****, serisouly. Lol just picture the movie in the actual bioshock graphics....good graphics but it would be werid o.O.
Anyways I'll see maybe not in the movie theater, but maybe at home when its on HBO :D.

nah it wouldn't use the bioshock graphics not good enough.

It could be either CG or live action but I'm hoping for the former and they'll put a lot of effort into story and animation

They'll change the storyline a lot for the movie I feel that have a lot blanks to fill in for the big screen. a Video game is more bent on action and the story just kinda flows as go, the timeline is there but its a much slower pace.

They have to add more characters and I'm sure it'll be amazing if the Gore Verbinski (the director who did Pirates of the Caribbean)

well of course they'll change the story even a bit...
there are lots of characters in the game and that's what makes it a good theme for a movie, but who will be the star of the movie? could it be the same main character of the game? but they'll need a co-star and that is not available in the game, you (the player) is the only star of the game...
I just hope it'll be better than DOOM the movie, that wasn't a big hit, maybe I liked it a bit (especially the 1rst Person view part)
