Will this run Crysis?

I'm looking at buying a pretty cheap computer for gaming such as Crysis, GTA IV, COD etc.

I was just wondering what settings I will be able to run Crysis on and see if you recommend anything :)

Also, is it worth upgrading to 8GB ram (with 64 bit), costing an extra £57. Or shall I upgrade to 64 bit so I can access the 0.8GB of memory that I will loose if I use 32 bit with 4GB RAM.

Here are the Specs:

AMD Phenom 9850 Quad Core Processor AM2+ (2.5GHz, 4MB Cache, 2000MHZ)
Genuine Windows Vista™ Home Premium with Service Pack 1, 32-bit - English
New Stylish Mini-Tower Micro ATX Chassis with 300W PSU - Piano Black
ASUS M2N68-CM - AMD Socket AM2+ Phenom MATX Mainboard
4096MB 800MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM - (2x 2GB)
500GB Serial ATA Hard Drive with 16MB Buffer
Samsung 22x Dual Layer DVD Writer Super Format +R/-R/RW/RAM
512MB NVIDIA GeForce with CUDA 9500GT Graphics Plus - PhysX enabled, DVI, HDTV, TV-Out
22" Widescreen (1680x1050) LCD TFT Digital Display (DVI,VGA, 5ms)
7.1 High Definition onboard sound card - for 8 Channel Cinema sound
Logitech Cordless Keyboard & Cordless Optical Mouse
Free Microsoft® Works® 8.5 + Limited Microsoft Office Trial
Free Cyberlink Video Editing Utility Suite - 7 titles (oem)
52-in-1 Multi-format Memory Card Reader (matx)

Any help is GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks,
Stue

Re: Will this run Crysis?

well yes you can play those games on medium settings but :

1- NOT WITH THAT PSU!!! 300 W is waaaaay low for the Quad Core and the 9500 GT, you need a better one, at least 500 W and better 650 W

2- if you're getting a 22" monitor, then the 9500 GT is not a very good choice, why? well a 22" monitor can display a very high resolution, but the 9500 GT is not able to play games especially like crysis on high resolution even on low textures, the 9500 GT is best for 1024 x 768
so wanna still get a 22"? then consider a Geforce 9800 GT it's from 100 to 150$

so for the extra money get the 9800 GT
8 Gb of RAM is waste of money right now, not necessary at all
4 gb are great for now

Re: Will this run Crysis?

minitower = bad your computer will get too hot

300w PSU please don't try running any game with it

better video card

get vista 64 bit and don't bother upgrading 8 gbs of ram total waste of money

whats your budget?
you need to upgrade if you want to play any games. That 300w PSU won't even come close to running the 9500 in games and its probably struggling to run your computer just on the desktop

Re: Will this run Crysis?

Agreed a 300W PSU will not run a 9500GT 4-8GB RAM and a Quad core. If it does you can expect overheating, random crashes and reboots, damaged hardware.

GTA IV will struggle to run on this card as it will do for any Nvidia card for a while as the game has been coded for ATI

Some example upgrades:
PSU - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817153062
Graphics Card (High quality / Price Range range) - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814150327

Re: Will this run Crysis?

I'd get these three

PSU
Corsair 850w
$150
after rebate $130
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817139009

Graphics card (anything above $200 and it should be the GTX series)
EVGA GTX260
$240
after rebate $210
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130448

and a better case
Antec 300 case
$60

Bargin right there. Runs my 280GTX which is overclocked, CPU which is Overclocked, and still lets my rig run flat out all night.

+1 for Corsair.
