Re: Hellgate London

I've been in two minds whether to purchase it ever since it first came out, every time I've gone to purchase it from Amazon or Play.com the customer reviews have put me off.

Also there were reports that the multiplayer servers were shut down in January, might give it a shot if that isn't the case.

Re: Hellgate London

it's an RPG right? or FPS?
when I saw the game's trailer for the first time I was impressed, and it's published by EA also so that's what encourage me to get it, but I didn't,
well if it's close to Bioshock or fallout 3 I'll get it :P

Re: Hellgate London

I tried it but didn't like it much. I don't mind RPG's if they are in first person, but I like my ARPG's to be isometric third person. It just makes the game 'flow' better (in my opinion anyway).
So I guess I'll just keep playing Titan Quest until Diablo 3 comes out.

Re: Hellgate London

I really enjoyed Hellgate, was running it on Vista before i axed it. Have to say, looks way better dx10 than 9. If i'm not wrong think this was one of the first DX10 games out. I prefer Fallout 3 tho....

Nope, cause the third person camera in Fallout 3 sucks. Anyway, for me Fallout 3 is basically turn based, I always use VATS in combat. So it's not really an Action RPG.
