Re: Recommended games for sucky pc
I would definitely look into updating that video card. I am positive you could get a much better card in the Radeon 9xxx series that would be compatible with your machine for less than $50 (easily, possibly even much less).

Check out "System Requirements Lab.com: Can You Run It?" website. Pick a game and have its "Systems Analysis" program scan your system to give you an answer if your computer specs will pass the "minimum", the "recommended" or neither.
If not, it will offer suggestions what is needed or what to upgrade. |

Re: Recommended games for sucky pc
I'm still a fan of Civilization 2. I like it better then the rest of them. Or Risk, another game I do not get tired of. Sadly neither will install on Vista 64 bit. :(

Starcraft TOME ( http://www.t-o-m-e.net/main.php?tome_current=0 , you might not be into it, but i found it pretty fun ) Total Annihilation... Pretty old, but you can probably find an old version SOMEWHERE on these here nets ;) You could PROBABLY play UT '99, great game & still has (i'd venture to say) huntreds of servers. I'd say 1,500 is players. |
