Re: Whats the best gaming pc?
I say the best is the one you build yourself.

Re: Whats the best gaming pc?
Definitely a self-build. That way you know it's exactly how you want it, and as HNKN said, you can feel proud of yourself for building it. Also, you don't have to pay for the brand name of a pre-made system.

Defiantly: not a notebook like mine, i think it actually struggles to run notepad let alone a game!

Re: Whats the best gaming pc?
There are too many things that can go wrong in a build. I could do it but wouldn't want to burn money if something has a hidden incompatibility with another component that I am using. Then again, others would say thats the fun part of building, the challenge.

Re: Whats the best gaming pc?
Self-built is the way to go. Customize to what you want, and it usually turns out cheaper than a pre-built one. You know what your getting, Plus all the components that you buy each come with a set warranty. So there is no need to worry if somthing breaks straight away. (Keep all the paper that comes in the components box, also some warranties are on the box which you need to cut off).
Also most pre-built systems like from Dell or HP are annoying to upgrade. 1) Warranty is void as soon as you open the case 2) Power Supply is just at the level to run the system as it is. Any hardware thats added later has a chance that the system will become unstable due to low power.

Re: Whats the best gaming pc?
To be honest when i find computers on sale for 700-800$ with 8 gigs of ram, a great processer, and a 300$ graphics card and a power supply, etc
The ram is usually in the hundreds the graphics card is 300 itself k so thats about 500-550 of it now when it comes with the free mouse, keyboard, sometimes speakers thats another 100$ now we are at 600-650 (already near the range of the build it yourself) Mother board, processer, Power supply, etc - sometimes can be 200-250 dollars here it would come to 800-900$ to build myself, but i can just buy it all assembled, so its much easier, and its cheaper. UNLESS i look at the prices at the wrong vendors tell me where i can get cheap parts than.. |
