The orange box problems (Yep, Another one of those threads.)
I recently purchased "The orange box" and it won't let me install it. Steam installs just fine, I just don't know how to get it to install without using the internet. Does anyone know how that could help me please? It's starting to irritate me. (Cost 94 bucks in NZ, Waste of money basically, If I can't get it going)

You need to connect for it to create your steam account and register your purchases.

I have a Steam account, I used my serial number and all that, It's just when I download it it isn't installing from the disk or something. It goes really really slow, Like, one bar per ten or fifteen minutes.

Uh. Most likely dialup speed right now, I think we used our monthly allowance. And it doesn't appear to be moving. It gets about 1/3 then doesn't move.

Re: The orange box problems (Yep, Another one of those threads.)
Patches are released for Team Fortress 2 practically every week. I think that they range from about 10 mb to 300 mb. As for the other games, patches aren't released as often.
So, if you're on dial up, then you can imagine how long it would take to download a 300 mb file. If you open Task Manager (ctrl-alt-delete) click on the network tab, it should show you if anything is being downloaded. |

Never mind, Got it working, It's just my internet. Well, I think it's working.. It's just gotta do the updates. I'm installing them one at a time, So far TF2 and Portal are installed. Going to do the rest when my internet's faster.
