Re: Crysis and CoD4 with Geforce 8500 GT 1024 mb??

Hi there,
What processor do you have? Are you using XP or Vista? Im guessing XP. In my opinion I would say as long as you had a fairly good processor & you were using XP I cant see any reason why you cant run those games.

As your probably aware Crysis is extremely graphic orientated so you will have to run it probably on lower res with no AA & prob low to medium settings. I'm using Vista with 2048MB ram & a geforce 8600GT Overclocked & an athlon 64 dual core processor & I can run crysis 1280x1024 on medium settings but it still could have been a little smoother. Its only when you drop down to a lower res that you see how smooth it should be. I cant see no reason why you cant run COD4 on a higher setting.I ran COD4 on highest setting with no probs.

If you can afford it an extra gig of RAM wouldnt do any harm.Hope this helps a little.

Re: Crysis and CoD4 with Geforce 8500 GT 1024 mb??

Good luck with that & your a better person the me if you can get crysis to run on high with your current setup. Like I said I have 8600GT with dual core & 2GB of ram I tried running the game on all of its settings & the highest I could go was medium 1280x1024. This is why I have ordered a 8800GT & a new PSU just because I cant play crysis on high, darn game just cost me £240!

Be nice to see how you get on, please keep me updated as to whether you get the game running on high.

This will let you know what performance you will get: http://systemrequirementlab.com/

Also, remember that you not get DX10 in XP.
