Re: all games.

Hi y28979

There is a nice program called Steam http://www.steampowered.com/v/index.php
Its a program that was originally designed to keep HL2 from been pirated but has now expanded into many other games like.
Call of Duty 4
Doom 3
Team Fortress 2
Half-Life Series
Half-Life 2
S.T.A.L.K.E.R
Quake
And many many 3rd Party mods of HL2

You wont have to worry about loosing the CD/DVD nor the Serial Number. As the Account you use for Steam is your serial number (so guard it with your life).

However you require a Master Card or Visa to purchase games. (Steam, Game Demos, and Trailers are free).
Valve (The owner of the Half-Life Series, Team Fortress 2 and Counter-Strike: Source) often have "Free weekends" (Friday to Sunday Night) where they give Steam users the ability to play a game of their (valve's) choice for free. Full version with no restrictions.
