Hate to admit it but Im stuck

Im playing GTA4 like a demon, as always with a new GTA release.
One thing has me stuck though. Not long after I gained access to the middle island I found there was a helitours buisiness in the south, so naturally I dragged the dude out of the chopper and took it for a buzz round the city. This was a while ago so bear with me my memory isnt amazing...
I remember icons appearing all over the radar and map at the bridges, this turned out to be a side mission of sorts, where you have to fly the chopper under the bridges. So I did. All of them. Even the ones that got me a five star chase on my hands (on the final locked island).
I cant quite remember what happened next, suffice to say though, I didnt get the achievement. Now the mission wont re-appear for me to try it again. How do I make this happen?

Also, another heli mission that apparently unlocks an achievement hasnt happened. I either heard or read that if you go on all the heli-tours you unlock this. I went on all the heli-tours at that buisiness in the middle island (south) and the achievement hasnt unlocked. Again, how do I sort this?

Any help is better than none, I welcome all comments.

Right, what seems to have happened is you haven't flown under one of the bridges properly, one of the bridges on the unlocked island gave me some troubles, there is a of the bridge i have in mind where you have to fly under it at a certain part for it to reconise the achievement.

as for the helitours achievement, i don't think all the tours are there until you've unlocked all the islands, this is what i'm theorising ayway.

All the islands are unlocked, still no achievement... I'll try that bridge idea...

Apparently:
- there are 14 bridges
- if you die while completing the achievement, they won't show up on your map any more

The tours - there are 5 or 6 choppers in total, have you been in all of them?

...and again from further away...

Still gotta work out this helitours one though. Think I'll just go on them all again. Does it still count if you skip to the end of the tour?

Nevermind... there was one helitour I hadn't been on. Dya think I panic too quickly?!!
Maybe I just take my gaming way too seriously...
