Which manufacturer runs the GTA series better?
This could open a lot of personal experience discussion, but I dont mind because thats what I want to see.
In my experience (up to San Andreas), Microsoft seemed to have got it right. I have previously owned an original Xbox and a PS2 and found whilst they both had their quirks, the Xbox always exceeded the PS in quality, frame rate and controller usability. I once had both running side by side and tested GTA3, Vice City and San Andreas one at a time on both consoles. On all the games, the Xbox seemed to load more objects quicker and was always higher quality. That is where my experience of both manufacturers halted. Sure, I have an Xbox 360 and GTA4 and I love it with an extreme passion, but whats happening on the other side of the fence? Has anyone got both consoles and GTA4 for each? I'd love to know the differences in how these 'new' generation of consoles handle and process the game, therefore; YOUR OPINION IS WELCOMED!!!! |

You decide. Honestly, they look the same to me on the general level. The only real difference I can see is the colour settings which haven't been tweaked. I saw another vid which showed the initial load times and the 360 loaded the game quicker.

Re: Which manufacturer runs the GTA series better?
I just watched a comparison review on Youtube
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yFLkArK3c7s Seems there isnt much difference. Pretty much the same story as before, each console has its quirks, but there isnt much difference. I suppose the choice between the two consoles will come down to what you want out of a console. Regardless of the Bluray capabilities, I still dont think I will be buying a PS3. Just for the simple fact I can get a drive for my PC at a lower price than the console. |

Re: Which manufacturer runs the GTA series better?
I've read that the PS3 renders it at a lower resolution than the 360, but I haven't seem empirical truth to confirm this.

Re: Which manufacturer runs the GTA series better?
The package says it's at 1080p but my TV tells me it's at 750.
Is that what you meant or have I gone off on a tangent again? Quote:

Maybe there's truth in it.

Re: Which manufacturer runs the GTA series better?
true, but they can easily run many games at 1080p with a middle-end graphics card. and mouse & keyboard control schemes are so much more precise, especially for shooting games, than an analog controller. With a mouse, it's basically just point and click in 3D.
