Hi guys
![]() Ive recently finished condemned and call of chuthulu dark corners of the earth for the PC (pretty tense games, especially condemned) and im looking for another really scary game for the PC. I like the kind of "Phsychological" scariness like where its totally silent, creepy, you know theres something after you but you cant see it kind of scaryness as im not frightened by "boo" scariness of stuff jumping out at you like doom 3 .Any particular recommendations? i was looking at F. E. A. R. but idk what its like.

Re: Looking for a really scary game for the PC
After playing some scary games like Resident Evil (if you really want to call it scary), and Condemned, I have to say that F.E.A.R. has a remarkable way of making you feel completely vulnerable despite having retarded amount of weapons at your disposal.
There were points in F.E.A.R. where I decided not to pick up some item in a dark corner just because I didn't want to run the risk of seeing that girl in the red summer dress. There's no shortage of scenes that give you this general uneasy feeling, but there's not too many of them that it gets old. The dudes you're blowing up aren't particularly scary (although occasionally startling), but it's the girl really takes the cake when it comes to the freak-factor. |

Just thinking about F.E.A.R. scares me.... That girl in the dress wins the award for creepiest NPC!

Re: Looking for a really scary game for the PC
Give FEAR a try. It's an excellent game, very atmospheric, good for playing in the dark wearing headphones. Another good one is Bioshock.

Re: Looking for a really scary game for the PC
Just been playing FEAR for a few hours and i must say i think its awsome, and geez is it creepy, just what i wanted, looks like Doom3 meets project zero with a bit of silent hill and condemned
![]() I see what you mean about that creepy little girl, when she crawls towards you in that passage, nearly fell off my chair. Even the first building you search is creepy. The graphics are also really good for an older game ![]() Thanks for that recommendation .

Re: Looking for a really scary game for the PC
Just found this generally unknown game series by Frictional Games. I'm presently downloading the demo for Penumbra
