... My mate phoned me to ask if there was anyway to use the xbox 360 on two televisions so that when you are playing coop on halo one player is on one screen and the other on another.
I know this can't be done with the 360 by itself but I thought there might be someway of using a pc to split up the signal I already have a TV card for the PC and I think you could use multiple graphics cards TV out to do this I was wondering if anyone knew of any software that could do this and if this should be in the gaming section ![]() all hail whoever hold the answer ![]() |

Re: I dont think this counts in this section but...
You can hook it up to two TV's, even without a computer, but I don't think there's a way to split the output so that each player get's only his screen. I.e. Even if you split it, both outputs will be the same.

Jack pretty much nailed it there. The split output would just be a clone image. The 360 is designed to be used on just one device so it doesn't have options for multiple screens.

Re: I dont think this counts in this section but...
The closest thing I have ever seen when it comes to this in consoles was hooking two TVs and two original PlayStations together with a link cable. A long-time friend of mine once did that, hooking our PSX's together with a rented link cable, grabbed a spare TV from the garage, and played two-player co-op Red Alert.
Probably one of the finest gaming moments in my entire life (well, except for the issues of extreme lag during massive tank rushes as the two PSX's struggled to talk to each other over a hokey link system). Last edited by Cellus : 03-23-2008 at 11:04 PM. Reason: it was Red Alert 1, not 2. |
