[SOLVED] Pirates of the Burning Sea Buddy Key request

Hi there!

Well, PotBS is the flavor du jour, but as those of you who have buddy keys know, it's $50 and there's no free trial. There's little worse than the concept of no free trial with an MMO, but I suppose whatever keeps the gold farmers out of the game.

In any case, I really want to try this game. Is there anyone that can hook me up with a buddy key? As I say, I really want to try this game, but I don't have the money to just throw at a (potentially) bad game, if I can try it before I buy, y'know?

I'm sorry matey but we just don't go in for that stuff on this forum, and it states so clearly in the rules.
By far better you find one of your local buddies who plays the game and borrow his puter for a few hours while he/she is doing their homework. If you find you like the game then you can splash out the readies and get yourself a legal version .. after all the guy that wrote it spent a lot of time making it so that you could sit down and do nothing all day but play it.

One very important point that you should note is that the majority of "free" stuff that allows one to bypass paying of the games is also something that may require even more money to clean up your PC afterwards .. valuable clock-cycles will be wasted on turning your pc into a bot thereby ruining your gaming pleasure, send out virus to your friends (which will ruin their gaming pleasure) and may even cause you many hours of lost game-time whilst you fix all the problems that are caused.

Obviously if you don't think the game is worth the money to pay out up front .. go find another that will allow you a trial period ..

I am pleased to announce that this thread has been re-opened after some research by me and my fellow team-mates it was found that this is a legit request ..
Thanks to Traska for getting in touch with me by PM to explain his side of the story and I really apologise profusely for having doubted his integrity .. & the integrity of this thread. There are such things as buddy keys .. and a legit user of the above program is allowed to share them with up to 3 friends ..

No harm, no foul, no problem. =) I'm just glad everything got cleared up.

Of course, the ridiculous thing about all this is I just purchased the game today, after having gotten a buddy key recently elsewhere (and I had forgotten all about this thread until the email I got today as an auto-notification).

The important thing is, no one was hurt, and everyone learns something. That's a good day in my book.
