What type of TV do you have. Some TV's have multiple Video and Audio inputs.
You may of connected the Video on channel AV1 and the sound to AV2 or you may of connected the Audio to an output plug. Try a different TV in the house? Or See if there are some settings in the 360 (dont know where cuse i dont have one) about audio configuration. You may have to select something like "Analog plug" or something.
