Crysis Monitor
Hey i just downloaded the Crysis demo. It looks great but i have a LCD wide screen monitor and everything off in the distance is really pixalated. So are some of the finer details on the guns and stuff. I can run the game on High and Ultra high mix with no AA or on Medium settings with full AA and its a little better but still kinda "fuzzy" Could this just be my monitor is *censored*? Do LCD monitors have different like pixels per square inch or anything like that? My monitor is a Viewsonic VX1935wm.

Re: Crysis Monitor
My monitor has a native 1680x1050 widescreen aspect. The demo only gives me 1440x900 as a maximum. Playing at that I get a tiny bit of the fuzzies, but the performance drop knocks me to about 25FPS.
You're getting this because LCD panels have a native resolution, which is the highest resolution that it can display. Using a resolution below that causes things to be slightly fuzzy as the monitor itself is trying to smooth things out. Generally, the closer you get to the native the better things look, but running it WAY below the native (unless you can nail a 50% reduction) causes major fuzziness.

Re: Crysis Monitor
1440x900 is my native resolution and that what i was running it at. Is it true that the CRT monitors have a better picture in general? Perhaps I'm just getting used to having a LCD monitor. Any other suggestions would be much appreciated. Thank you
