The trials expired after about 6 months after the game was sold i am almost certain that even an unused one will not work.

my roommate used his halo 2 xbl trial when I bought halo 3 so he could play online with me, so I'm pretty sure they aren't expired.

It should bve they discontiued the 1 month trials because people used them to hack, now the most you see is 48 hr ones
