Looking for a classic pc game

I been trying to find a game for a while, I wanna say it was out in the early to mid 90's and it was an RTS like C&C, you built power plants, and ICBM's to launch at the island across the way, as the levels got harder the terrain got more difficult. Also the were robots which you could send over to attack your enemy. Anyone know the name it would be great.

Re: Looking for a classic pc game

No i don't believe that was it, there were no lemmings in this game. It was more like command and conquer, you were an army trying to destroy the other, but there were no soldiers that i remember it was all anti air missiles, robots, ICBM's and obviously a command center.

OMG OMG!! I know which one you mean! My friend had it ages ago when I was childminded by his mum! There were power plants and other things to create power and you selected units with the mouse!

Re: Looking for a classic pc game

I'm not entirely sure about the game your thinking of, but does it by any chance start in a desert type area?

You can try here ( This Link!) for games that are similar to C&C.

Or there's a list of Real Time Strategy games here ( This Link!), you might recall the name if you spot it in the list!

hope I've helped! :)

Re: Looking for a classic pc game

Nope that isn't it. There were no boats in the game, only mech warriors and anti air, and of course ICBM's.

Re: Looking for a classic pc game

From my memory you started out with a short clip where some "evil" commander was telling you how he would beat you. The first level was mostly flat green land separated by water i believe. The whole level was split out on a grid where you could build your army up and like if you wanted to place an ICBM you would need 3x3 squares. Of course once you beat the other commander he would appear in a short clip claiming how he couldn't believe you beat him and it wouldn't happen again. This is just my memory it might be a little off but not by far.

Was it 3D or 2D and was it Isometric?

I'm looking at games, I can't remember playing any game of your description, but I'll help try to find it anyway!

Re: Looking for a classic pc game

The one's I've found so far are: Dark Reign , M.A.X and Earth 2140 But don't know if any of them are the ones! M.A.X is turn based, not real time, so that's probably out of the question.

Re: Looking for a classic pc game

Its 3-D, yah none of those are it. But this is great the surge in interest of the thread, I've been searching all weekend again for it. I wanna say the land layout reminds me of SIMS 2 except of course you can't edit it, but it dosen't have that natural look where everything is a block or not. Also not as much of a note but the game had multiple types of terrains like green grass and snow ect.

Re: Looking for a classic pc game

Nope I wanna say this was before Empire Earth Plus I've played that before and there was only one time period for it which was future like mech warriors which get built up multiple mechs they of course get shot down and damaged, and can be rebuilt. Power plants and other utilities etc. I realize this is alot of information but it bound to hit someone's eye sooner or later
