What Are Some Decent Games To Buy Now I've Upgraded My PC?

I've just upgraded my graphics card from a 256mb 7600GT to a 640mb 8800GTS and was wondering what decent games are available for me to play now that I may not have been able to play before, or wouldn't have been able to play at very high settings due to my hardware.

Here are my current specs:

OS - Windows XP Pro
CPU - Intel Pentium D 2.8Ghz
Video Card - 640mb Nvidia Geforce 8800GTS
RAM - 2gb DDR 2

I'm mostly into RPG's (singleplayer) & First Person Shooters so any good games in those genres, I'd like to hear about. I don't really like birds eye view strategy based games even though I own a few so just letting you know in advance :D

So that you don't mention a game I already have, here's a list of the games I currently own:

Age Of Empires 1, 2 & 3
Age Of Mythology + Titans Expansion
Battlefield 2
Company Of Heroes
CounterStrike: Source
FEAR + Extraction Point
Fable: The Lost Chapters
Guild Wars
Halo
Gothic 3
Manhunt
Morrowind + Tribunal & Bloodmoon
Need For Speed Carbon
Neverwinter Nights 2
Oblivion
Overlord
Prey
Prince Of Persia
Pro Evolution Soccer 6
Quake 4
Rollercoaster Tycoon 3
Spiderman 3
Two Worlds
Worms 4 Mayhem

So yeah, I'd appreciate knowing of any really good games that have got decent reviews etc as I'm looking for a new game to play to go along with my new hardware, thanks guys.

I think the game of the year is going go to either COD4 or Cyrsis, I'd get COD4 as my hunch is that cysris is over hyped and will be a dissappointment.

I like World in Conflict, and COD4:MW looks awesome
I'm not that into gaming though. The crappy graphics card explains it.

GRAND THEFT AUTO SAN ANDREAS!!!!!! BEST GAME EVER!!! 1, 2, 3, and vice city are also quite good. also: don't buy gta4. it change so much, and removed most of the original elements which made the previous gta titles so good. not worth the new features and graphical improvements. the reason i loved san andreas so much was the miles of open countryside, which gave me freedom to fly, drive, or bike as i wished. it looked amazing on high res when i'm cruising the skies; the mountains, rivers, highways, valleys, farms, etc. you can literally spend hours taking the gorgeous view. they're going to remove that in gta 4.

oh, and get the one for pc. the console versions aren't nearly as good.

WiC is ok...

Crysis I think will be overhyped and buggy on release, however graphics will be superior for at least another generation

COD4 will be the most stable, beatiful action packed game that there is.

My LAN uses COD2 as a warm up game because it takes seconds to sit up, maps are small to large allow lots of flexability and game play is simple and to the point.

Re: What Are Some Decent Games To Buy Now I've Upgraded My PC?

WiC looks amazing but the gameplay wasn't that great, but still looks better than any rts period. Crysis I'm hoping is buggy since the demo played pretty well on my comp but not without a slowdown or two at times, but the graphics alone made sure i'm buying it.
COD4 was a lot of fun and had great graphics but when I compared it to crysis and now have to choose which one i'll buy first... crysis hands down.

if your talking between wic and coh than no way whatsoever. I've played both and easily say wic beats it. COH is much more fun but easily wic looks better and the camera movement gives it a cool feel.
