Need help finding a game...

Ok this is going to sound really weird but basically i need help finding the name of a particular game, im going to describe it as best i can, as ive only played a demo of it like...nearly 10 years ago or more? lol ok here goes.

This is what i can remember:

its a pc game to start with.

Im pretty sure the game was made around 1995-1999 (around the erer of v2000 if any1 rememvers that

Im pretty sure its a strategy possibly RTS kind of game.

Description of the game:

Well it was a very odd game but very cool from what i remember.

Basically you were this large chunk of floating land mass (or large chunk of metal it looked like) which was made up of hexagon shaped flat panels which you could build stuff on, imagine an RTS game but the land you have to build on is floating around, and so you'd be floating round the large landscape and encoutering others enemys like you, other peaces of floating land, and you could build all sorts of weird and wonderful things on this peace of land from what i can remember, catapults, missile launchers and various buildings, if you crashed into somethign you would loose a chunk of your land via the hexagon shapes breaking off, you could increase the surface area to build on via building other structures close to the edge an presumably earning money. and so yeah.

Thats all i can really remember about the game im afraid.

Oh and one more thing, im pretty sure the game began with a "c", i thought it was something like "catastrophy" or "cataclism" but i really cant remember

If anyone has any clues what so ever I would be very great full

Sorry mate. I know the game, used to play it quite a lot actually (I liked putting spikes on the edges of my base and ramming into other people). But I can't remember the name of it at all, and Google was no help to me.

Are there any links at all to websites that contain lists of games from like the 90's upwards?
