Re: Bioshock

Haven't tried the demo. I'm thinking of getting it when it comes out though. Tiber was watching a demo clip about it yesterday - looked pretty cool.

Google "Bioshock" and you'll find plenty of reviews. It's for PC and XBox 360.

Re: Bioshock

Hi Jaymie,

No, pharoah was not being sarcastic. Bioshock does support DirectX 9.0c, as well as DirectX 10. Most games for a while to come will likely support both 9.0c and 10.

Re: Bioshock

No, Bioshock will work on XP as well. Since Vista only supports DX10, and XP only supports up to DX9.0c, for the game to run with both versions of DirectX, it needs to be compatible with both OS's.

So the short answer there is: it will run on both Vista and XP.

Actually, most games being released now support both XP and Vista, and most older games will also work on Vista. There have been quite a few compatibility issues running older games on Vista, but that's usually due to unstable drivers and such. It will be a while before games requiring Vista and DX10 are released. DirectX 9 still has a lot to offer, and a lot of people are still using DX9 graphics cards.

Re: Bioshock

I was playing the demo on my 360, I don't see why it's getting 100/100 review ratings everywhere. It is a good game though. I'm not sure if I'd buy it or not.
