Gears of War or Rainbow Six Vegas

I'm looking to get one of these but which is better? Any opinions.

Well I like the action strategy games using tactics. Brings me to my next question...

Rainbow six or Ghost Recon?

Rainbow six is hard but fun same goes for ghost recon, if your doing 2 people go for rainbow and 1 ghost recon.

I have only played rainbow in 2 player co-op, not sure about cammanding people here but ghost recon has ur squad cammands but i dont know if it is co-op.

gears of war. My sons and I play on line too much, that is the only problem with that game, you can not stop playing. Did not play Rainbow six vegas though, been playing gears since it came out, til today...if you get it and play on line look for V Curse Shade and Frost Beten, thats my two (of four sons (of six kids) and I always bogart one of their gamer tags....yes I am too old to play these games...

Seriously, buy both. If you have xbox live, then definetly buy both! But tactical wise it would have to be Rainbow Six, and you can control your two other team mates, as can you in Ghost rekon (but there are 3 team mates, as well as a drone and helicopters/tanks/misc vehicles) to control.

Go with Rainbow Six, one thing i found with gears is that once I finished it on one player I had no motivation to go back through and keep playing. With some of the others (I think someone mentioned) Ghost Recon, and Rainbow six etc or even things like Halo I have never stopped playing them, and they all have other aspects, be it stratagy, or vast array of Alien mutilation related genocide. Gears just didn't do that for me. live adds a bit more, but I don't think enough.

Also I really didn't like the weapon selection system / times when you realistically needed (wanted) two weapons of one kind, but could only have one.

Just my opinion!

I haven't played much of either, but I know that Gears of War got the highest ratings of pretty much any xbox 360 game so far. Going along with that, I'd probably choose gears of war.

Personally never understood what was so great about GoW. Bought it, played alone for about an hour, about two hours in co-op with a friend and then about two hours of team deathmatch. Returned it the next day.
Design is one of the major parts of a game, and I just couldn't get myself to like GoW.

To each his own I guess.
