Halo

Ok, I have to ask, why are people so obsessed with Halo? It's not nearly that innovative, and each one DOES NOT raise the bar. The difference between Halo 1 and 2 was dual wielding, something which had already been done, and the Energy Sword.

I mean, I liked the games, in the sense that I play deathmatch with my roommate, but there are far better, more innovative FPSs out there. Doom 3 was more innovative than Halo, Prey was more innovative than Halo, yet Halo sold better than Doom 3. Granted, the Xbox version of Doom 3 wasn't that great, but it was definitely outshined in general by Halo, and people recognize Halo as a better game overall (well, the majority do).

Not saying Halo is a bad game, but given how much time is spent on them, they aren't innovative at all, and there are hardly any changes between them.

I bought an XBox after playing Halo. I swore up and down that I'd never get one, but that game made me WANT it.
