Why MMO's?
Why do you play MMO's rather then single player games?

Because you get to interact with other people in the game, also most MMOs are bigger than normal games because they are designed to keep people interested for longer.

Because MMO developers implant suggestive messages into their games so you are convinced there is no problem giving them your money every month. These suggestive messages may also have strange side-effects such as addictiveness and actual enjoyment.

I play and enjoy both types. I play MMO's for the social aspect and for a gaming that (should) keep me engaged for a long time. Of course, having to pay isn't the best thing in the world but there are plenty of pay-once play-free games out there as well.

Both types are great sometimes, computers are alot more challenging than people, but can provide better practice for those majority who play online. Even though WoW you have to pay for its great to team up and have fun with other players.

Yes, as all of my pre-poster already said, playing with a community is much more fun, than playing alone ( although it is nice too). But you don't get board as fast as if you're playing alone.
I used to play Ragnarok, I think I played it for about 3 years and than gave up, way too addicting ;) But everyone who likes RPG should try Ragnarok, imo the best MMORPG out there. The community is awesome and it will keep you for a while, because it takes forever to get level 99 ;)

I play Oblivion and have no problem with computers ... :)
MMOG = Mass-Multiplayer Online Game, MMORPG Mass-Multiplayer-Online Role playing game... MMO's becaouse the game appears to be more fun when you are playing with other people, it's like saying why this forum full of real people then that other forum with super smart computer AI, that could answer all of your questions but are not human.
