Anyone play Day of Defeat: Source?

Just got it for Christmas and I'm amazed! I love CS:S and Call of Duty Series so this is the best of both worlds!

Anyone play it? I'm looking for people to play with since all I do is just join a server and play with random people.

I've never played it, but have heard quite a bit about it. Apparently it's a very good game... Allthough I have to take my friend's word on this

I've heard a bunch of people say COD is better. Personally, I like this game (I've owned it for about 5 months); decent graphics, smooth gameplay, and definately worth your money. The only problem is that each team gets very few guns per team (there are 5 classes, and 1 or 2 guns per..)

Haven't played in a while, gearing up for CSS

i played it in beta never touched it again. its too different from dod 1.6 for me to like it. gamerman if u have a chance check out dod 1.6 its i think more fun and weapons wise its better, dod 1.6 is well COD1 graphics but multiplayer oriented

i liked COD, soo i think i would give DOD 1.6 a try...

how old is it? COD 1 era?

and is it downloadable?

yeah slightly before COD1 era. Came out in 2000 i think ? or earlier. was a mod for HalfLife1 then went final release and was published. Can be downloaded over STEAM

I've played COD1, COD:UO, and COD2 and for multiplayer, DOD:S is better (IMO). Don't get me wrong... I LOVE COD, but I think the Source engine makes games a TON better.

but u havent played DOD1.6 :D of course the graphics are better but compare DOD1.6 to DODS gameplay and u will see the gameplay is better in 1.6 atleast thats my opinion. if you dont have it i will let u log onto my acount and i can let u test it out
