In terms of sheer hours logged into a single game, I'm gonna have to go with MVP Baseball 2005. Its mostly my love for baseball and not the actual game itself but on this game I have exactly 762 games played in my profile. With playing against friends and other random times, this number swells well into over 1000+ games of baseball played. Online should really track this and make a sort of hall of fame for those who play this much.

Panzer Dragoon Orta. I don't know, it touched me at my heart in some way that makes me an absolute fanatic for it. Some people find it too hard, but I thought the challenge was perfect.

Can't pick one, but here's a couple
Ninja Gaiden Black (extremely hard action/adventure game with amazing gameplay) Star Wars Battlefront 2 (Battlefield but with Star Wars elements. Also there's space battles. Great game with huge replay value) Ghost Recon 2 + Expansion Packs (Not for everyone, most Halo2 players will hate it. Very tactical shooter. The Multiplayer is HUGE in terms of maps and game modes) Unreal Championship 2 (Hugely underrated game. A different direction from the tradition UT gameplay, but it's awesome once you get good) |

Knights of the Old Republic was a classic, but come on:

For sheer amount of hours played and on-line greatness, i'd go for Halo2 anytime.
Now just trying out Gears of War......meh. The campaign is OK at best, (graphics are great), but it seriously lacks when it comes to multiplayer. No clan ability is not a good move, and the lack of function to create parties also not a winner. All in all, Halo2 wins hands down for it's on-line functions making it the game to have. |
