Game only school NES with a new school Revolution (prices leaked)
Nintendo announced plans for an online service that would enable gamers to play older nintendo games using Nintendo's planed online service, well it appears that the prices for this service have been leaked.
http://www.gameshout.com/news/012006/article2586.htm "Supposedly, IGN recently got a hold of a "leaked survey" done by Zanthus for Nintendo of America relating to the Nintendo Revolution up and coming feature, the "Virtual Console". The Virtual Console is supposed to be Nintendo's online back compatibility system. This leaked news seems to contain several different details on how the Virtual Console will look, how it will be priced, and what it will contain... ...The games include titles from NES, SNES, and N64 libraries (no Gamecube, of course, the Revolution will support the Gamecube's discs straight up). Pricing will be anywhere from $2.99 for NES games to $19.99 for N64 games. Also stated in the survey was a monthly subscription service for $14.99 for all-you-can-download games."

no kidding. Lets see, I think I'll start off with a round of zelda, then move onto mario, then maybe some Final Fantasy, the possibilities are endless!
There's so many games on the 64 I can't wait to play again too, I wonder if that will be on the all-you can download.

Dust killed my ness :(
Still have a 64, although the controller is funky. The N64 controller's joystick always broke.

Re: Game only school NES with a new school Revolution (prices leaked)
I just started the hunt. I should have kept the huge collection that I sold last winter on Ebay. Who knows why we do these things? Oh well, so far I have picked up an official top load console with hookups and one dog bone controller. (fifty bucks)
Games: Mario 1 2 3, and arcade version (Twenty-five bucks). Dragon Warrior iv (thirty-five bucks ouch!) THIS HOBBY CAN GET EXPENSIVE FAST! |

Re: Game only school NES with a new school Revolution (prices leaked)
I've looked through the online catalog using the Wii Shopping Channel and was a bit shocked.
You use Points to buy items. $10 buys you 1,000 points, $20 for 2,000 and so on. Some games cost you 2,000+ points. I'm sorry but I won't pay that much for a game that nearly 10 years old.

if you guys really thinks that's cheap to play very old games then your all nuts. not even sure if I'd pay a dollar for a game that old just to play for an hour tops for old times sake
